Knitting Machines

While you can’t knit everything on a Knitting Machine, there is a fair amount you can do. Knitting Machines are best for flat and circular knitting. What can you make with a knitting machine? Hats, scarves, cowls, socks and leg warmers. Panels, sweaters, cardigans and blankets. For more complex pieces, the panels can be made on the knitting machines and then would need to be hand sewn together.

This is possible to do more extensive patterns with the machine, but it involves manually manipulating the threads during the turning process.

Unfortunately, Knitting Machines do not work on all types of yarn. They are best used on smooth, tightly spun yarns that are consistent in their thickness. Bulky and Chunky yarns tend to lead to jams. 8ply and below work best.

The Addi Knitting Machine is by far the most popular and superior machine. Other machines are also available but dont seem to have the same level of quality as Addi.
