Over the weekend, one of our shipping partners, Sendle, sent us an unexpected and concerning email announcing that it would be cancelling all new parcel pickups, effective immediately. A screen shot of the email is at the bottom of this post.
At Knitting Co., we have taken immediate steps to disable Sendle as a carrier in our logistics software and will be diverting all existing and new orders with an Awaiting Shipping status to other carriers. All orders placed after January 9th will not be impacted by the Sendle announcement.
The announcement states "Any parcels that have already been picked up and are in transit will be delivered at the discretion of the delivery partner... if you have any questions about an existing delivery, please contact the relevant delivery partner." We are working as a top priority to identify any parcels that are in transit, and to match them to the Sendle delivery partners. We have isolated this to a very small number of parcels dispatched on the Sendle network late last week. We will directly contact any impacted customers directly, as soon as we are in a position to provide further update.
Rest assured no further Knitting Co. orders will be impacted by this sudden announcement, and moving forward it is business as usual.
